Pottery Painting With Raw Vegan Snacks

I had so much fun today! I went with my mom and painted a piece of pottery for my soon-to-be-coming baby. The item chosen (more for lack of choices than anything else, but I'm still happy): a big piggy bank. After all, pigs rock, and a mom-painted pig with money in it? That's good, too! It was the first time I was able to write, Love, Mom on something. How awesome is that!?

I knew the painting would take more than a few hours (we really like to take our time and enjoy ourselves), so I packed plenty of healthy, raw, organic vegan snacks. The pottery painting place is surrounded by "food court" type restaurants and the way to easily deny those options is to have super yummy-n-healthy foods to bring along. I used my groovy tiffinbamboo utensils, and carrying bag for the outing (I love toting these around - they're so friggin' cute!). My snacks included (all organic): raspberries, blueberries, carrots, hummus, pineapple, Chocolate Butter Truffles, and water. Yum!

And, here is a picture with my energizing goodies packed up.

  3. I had so much fun when I was pregnant with my daughter. The piggy bank sounds sweet. Just wait until you get to say "I want you to meet my daughter". It's a really nice feeling.

All the very best to you!

  12. I'm curious to ask where you purchased your tiffin box.

The brown fabric bag I recognize as "To-Go Ware" but that's not tiffin they sell with it.
