Organic Green Juice - Refreshing, Hydrating, Delicious!

I made a splendid batch of fresh organic green juice. Yum! It's probably my favorite way to start the day because it really gives my body and digestion a clean energy boost. Ever since finding the raw life and including lots of green juice on a regular basis, I'm never sluggish in the morning. I wake up refreshed and raring to go. That's the way to live!

Drink fresh green juice and you can experience the following, too: Alkalizing, hydrating, delicious, refreshing, nourishing, and cleansing.

This batch made one quart and had:
2 large cucumbers
5 stalks celery
1 head romaine hearts
1 kiwi
1 small knob of ginger

I used my Breville because I knew I'd drink it right away and extra fast speed was important. I generally like to use my Hurom juicer (that's my favorite), but today's desire for speed trumped anything else. If you'd like to see a video where I discuss the three juicers I have (Green Star, Breville, Hurom), then check it out here.

Hhmm... isn't that beautiful, vibrant and full of life? You know that will make my cells dance for joy! I tell ya... I cannot live life without fresh green juice. Can you imagine if everyone drank fresh organic green juice on a weekly (or daily!) basis!? Whoo Whee! The buzz of life and energy that we would all experience. That would be awesome. (If you're wondering why my Blendtec container is there, it's because when my Breville container runs out of room, I transfer it to my blender and then continue juicing with the Breville.)

  3. Wow! That's a lot of juice! I've never tried juicing romaine before. I'm not a huge romaine fan in it's normal form so I don't know how I'd like the juice. However, I usually hate celery but celery juice is one of my favorite things ever! Sooo, maybe I'll give romaine a shot!

  5. I love the sound and idea of fresh juices! However, sorry if this is too much info, I've found that fruit juices and fruit smoothies have made me a bit constipated in the past. Is this likely to happen with vege juices or veg-fruit juices? Any thoughts? :) xxx

About 25 readers of mine said they came to get the recipe already from you and one lady already made it!

I loved it...it's got a KICK though! Wasn't prepared for that one but super yummy!

  9. that's cool you have both juicers. i did not have the space for both the breville and the hurom so I sold the old breville. haven't missed it aside from juicing carrots. the breville is fast for that.

i have made like 3 of your recipes in the last few days! will post on it soon. the onion bread was so good.

  10. Hi Kristen,
    Have just found your blog.
I am pregnant, and loving the raw while pregnant. This is my second raw pregnancy. I would love to you if you experience the same that I did.
My raw birth was by far my easiest (it was my 5th birth - this is my 6th). I loved being raw and pregnant.
http://living-disease-free.com is where I'm at. Just starting out to share the good news about good foods.
    Would love your thoughts too.
Anyway - love your post. Have a great birth.

  11. I tend to get lazy with the juicer in the winter, especially when work is crazy, but now that it's warm again I'm alllllllllllll over it! Delicious and hydrating indeed.
