Party Dessert Movie Trail Mix

I just threw together a delicious combo of ingredients that basically make up a trail mix... all vegan, all organic, part raw. I couldn't decide on a name because the mixture seemed ideal for serving at a party, as dessert, during a movie, or on the trail. So, I put those all in the name. I like making things in BIG batches so I only have to do it once in a while. No amounts given, I didn't measure... that makes it part of the fun! Here are the ingredients...

Party Dessert Movie Trail Mix
By Kristen Suzanne of KristensRaw.com
Yield approximately 2 quarts

Hemp Seeds (raw)
Chocolate Chips (not raw)
Cacao Nibs (raw)
Raisins (raw)
Goji Berries (raw)
Pecans, soaked, dehydrated, and chopped (raw)
Almonds, soaked, dehydrated, and chopped (raw)
Dried Coconut, unsweetened (raw)
Granola (not raw, I bought it at the store in the cereal section although you could easily put raw granola in this, perhaps Kookie Karma's Goji Lime Coconut would be fun or Go Raw's Chocolate or Kaia Foods Cocoa Bliss)
Himalayan crystal salt
Cinnamon

So... onto other things. I haven't blogged in a while because my blog is being transitioned to a new platform and I thought I was supposed to stop blogging while it happened. However, the project won't be done for at least a few more days, hence, today's post. :)

Kamea is 9 months tomorrow and she had her naturopathic pediatric wellness visit today. All is great. Here she is playing with an organic orange. She's not really eating it, don't worry. It's a little too early for citrus.

You know I'm a big fan of Body Ecology's raw organic coconut water. It's available at Whole Foods Market in the freezer section and it's truly raw and organic. I've yet to come by young Thai coconuts that are not treated in some way or that are organic, so I love that Body Ecology has this available. I buy it by the case (10% discount when you do that at Whole Foods). However... for the first time I tried their raw organic coconut meat last week and I was blown away by the not-very-good-taste. It seemed to taste like alcohol. And, funny thing is, I recently had some chocolate mousse which had that meat in it and I thought perhaps the chef put in too much vanilla extract because the mousse tasted like alcohol, but I'm thinking that it might have been the coconut meat itself. Have you had any experience with Body Ecology's raw coconut meat? What did you think?
