Pregnancy and Baby / Child Care Reading

I get asked all the time about what books I recommend for pregnancy and baby information. I compiled a list on my Green Mommy Blog. They are not necessarily vegan, but most are friendly toward that, as well as natural childbirth. Read more here.

  1. Wow! I was just coming to your blog to ask you what you would suggest to a newly pregnant, semi new raw foodist. :) Thanks!

  4. Have you found that mostly raw vegans gain less weight during pregnancy than Standard women? I know you're almost to the end of your pregnancy, so I thought now would be a good time to ask :)
I'm only on week 13 of my preg. and wanted a first-hand opinion from a mostly raw vegan girl :)
    Thank you!!

  5. Hi Emelia_Florida,
I don't know many pregnant raw vegans so I can't answer your question. My weight gain is healthy and normal. My midwife says I'm not having some of the problems that many pregnant women encounter with swelling and such. I attribute that to my diet and lifestyle.

However, everyone is so different and pregnancy can vary so much from one mom to the next, so I suspect even the raw vegans have different experiences.

    Cheers,
    Kristen
