Congratulations Sara! Your name was chosen as the winner of my 17th Awesome Giveaway. The prize: A bottle of Garden of Life / Vitamin Code's Raw D3. Simply email me with your address so I can get the vitamins sent to you.
Here is what Sara had to say when asked, "What is one of your New Year's Resolutions / Goals that you're still sticking with today?"
Mine is simple....to eat way healthier with my daughter. My daughter who is in high school has started a blog about the benefits of eating organic and cutting back on processed food. It has been a huge hit and she has even been written about in her school newspaper:) We are both trying out new recipes and new foods.
My next Awesome Giveaway is January 31, so check back for details!
Congrats Sara!!!! :)

Hi Kristen.
ReplyDeleteWe recently announced our pregnancy. I'm not 100% raw or organic, but I've been keeping up with your posts because I too am 21 weeks pregnant. I've enjoyed reading your updates and learning some new things, especially about prenatals. I even purchased The Business of Being Born DVD!
I've been taking New Chapter prenatals and recently bought Garden of Life Vitamin Code Raw Prenatals. I was somewhat surprised to see the Nutrition Facts read "Folic Acid" instead of "Folate". From what I understand, folate is the natural form of folic acid. So, I was confused as to why the nutrition label for a raw food-based vitamin didn't read "Folate". Well, I bought them anyway and have been using them with New Chapter. A good friend of mine also recommended both.
One more thing... would you know if there are good alternatives to taking the "glucola" - gestational diabetes test? I was told it was required. And, I'm not excited about drinking that stuff.
Not sure why you were told it was required? Unless your current physical situation warranted it, because that is a test that I am not taking.
ReplyDeleteI can double check on the folate vs folic acid thing. I have heard people reference folic acid as being food based... I know what you mean though.
Thanks for the input. I haven't had a chance to research, much less remember what week I'm on. But now, life has slowed down... :o)
