This looks delicious and filling! I'm new to Raw (and love your books!)...would you say this is two servings worth of smoothie? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Val,
ReplyDeleteThanks! For me, this is one serving, and yes it's filling. By all means, you could split it with a friend or loved one. :) I have a hefty appetite though. ;)
Cheers,
Kristen
I love this! I adore adding lots of spices to my smoothies. Cinnamon is a big favorite and nutmeg always creates a special mix! This looks really fantastic, Kristen. Thanks for this!
ReplyDeleteFor sure! I love adding fun elements to shakes and smoothies - diversity keeps the Raw vegan diet extra exciting! :)
ReplyDeleteCheers XOXO,
Kristen
Wow Kristen! I am going to make this right now for breakfast! Yum. Hope you are feeling great!
ReplyDeleteHi RawSierra,
ReplyDeleteWhoo hoo! Let me know what you think. :)
Indeed, I'm feeling fabulously pregnant and happy! Getting bigger by the week, er by the day. ;)
looks good! you use hemp as much as me. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHey fabulous mama to be, that sounds yum, I'll have to try it today and see what I think too. What difference does it make inside the body if you eat chia gel, or blend up the chia seeds in a liquid? I know flax just passes through if not ground up- found some yesterday on my t.p.
ReplyDeleteAlso you have inspired me to do a green makeover- I started a new blog to write about it. (greeniemama.wordpress.com)
I'm going to order new beauty products soon too, prob morrocan method. Thanks for your informative posts!
I had this with lunch....it was soooooo delicious! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhoo hoo Leah! Thanks for letting me know. :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks great Kristen, like a banana hemp nog! I'll have to give it a try... and I must tell you that Ive made your nacho dip more time than I can count - its amazing!
ReplyDeleteHugs
Heathy
I bought your entry book yesterday. Should have it soon! I'm working my way to healthier lifestyle...still room for improvement, but have come leaps and bounds over this past year. Been eating mostly raw for breakfast and lunch...will eventually eat mostly raw for dinner, too. And the best part is I see people in my family making changes, too. All the way down to my uncles and grandma. You are such an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThat's fantastic news, Leah. I'm so glad you shared it with me. Baby steps can make transitions like this so much easier and I'm thrilled to hear about it trickling through to other family members. Yay!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your support!
Cheers XOXO,
Kristen
Hi Raw Goddess,
ReplyDeleteBanana Hemp Nog.. clever, accurate - love it. And, WHOO HOO on the Cheezy Hemp Nacho Sauce addiction - welcome to the club! ;)

ReplyDeleteWhile I adore your Chia Pudding, which I have made and LOVED!!! I am still seeking the perfect raw cookie. I've tried several different recipes, and nothing has truly met my expectations, so I can't wait to try your chia cookie recipe. If I won, of course. :) Well, heck, I just might go out and buy some chia and try it out anyway. hee hee
ReplyDeleteHi RawServant,
ReplyDeleteGlad you love the chia pudding :)
Raw cookie? Hhhmmm... what are your goals with it? What are you looking for?
I just made this shake last night and it was freaking awesome! I used 2 frozen bananas instead of ice and fresh bananas. I love how creamy it is and I love those spices!
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming back and letting me know, Brooke! Yum!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! My husband and I loved this. I just discovered your blog last week and this is the first time I've ever used hemp and chia. We had such an energy buzz after drinking this yummy shake. I'm going to make it again today!
ReplyDeleteHi Nikki! YIPPEE!!! That makes me smile! Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Kristen
Ooooooooo - giiiirlfriiiend (said in my best ghetto-fabulous voice)!!! This is so *-ing good! I substituted coconut meat for one of the bananas (I only had one nana on hand) and used a scoop of the Sun Warrior vanilla instead of the hemp protein powder (cause t'aint hemp here), and THIS ROCKED THE HOUSE!!!
