Happy New Year - 2010 Blog Posts

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF MY READERS AND BLOGGING BUDDIES! I am so grateful to have you in my life. You've been through a lot with me this past 2009, and I love and appreciate all of your support more than you could know. Thank you!

2010 promises to be an amazing year! I am looking forward to writing tons of awesome blog posts where I share my pregnancy experiences, my food intake while pregnant and breastfeeding, lots of awesome giveaways for you, many new and scrumptiously delicious recipes, and as much advice and tips as I can muster about living this wonderful lifestyle.

Well, I'm off to make some organic green juice. We just stocked up at the CSA this morning. Whoo hoo! My breakfast today was a mug of organic Teeccino, a huge organic apple, and 2 organic persimmons.

Cheers XOXO,
Kristen :)

  3. Happy New Year! I am pregnant with twins and don't have much room for food. Do you have a suggestion for a super healthy shake/juice I could make that isn't very grainy (does that make sense)? My tummy is sensitive but I want to give my babies some good nutrition!

  4. Do you use a juicer or a blender to make juices? I got a juicer for christmas, but didn't have the book that came with it ... I'd love to hear any suggestions you have about using a juicer (and using the resulting pulp in other recipes), if you have any experience with it. Thanks!

  5. Hi Ashley,
Most green juices should be great... they're not grainy and filled with nutrition. For shakes, you might just try some green smoothies with a nice fruit like banana or mango to help make it smooth and creamy.

    Good luck and congrats!

  7. Hi Radioactivegan,
You can use both to make juice. If you use a blender, you'll need to strain the pulp from the juice using a nutmilk bag. I can't really comment on your juicer usage since I don't know what kind you have, but feel free to peruse my blog and search for "juice" to get some recipes and ideas.

Here's a little video showing how to make dehydrated crackers using the pulp. http://kristensraw.blogspot.com/2009/09/how-to-make-green-juice-pulp-crackers.html

You can also put some on top of your salad, feed some to your dogs, or put it in your yard for the bunnies. :)

    Cheers,
    Kristen
