Dr. Oz Turns Meat Loving Cowboy Vegan

Here's a great testimonial for the power of the vegan diet. Rocco, a cowboy who loved everything meat and never had any green on his plate, followed Dr. Oz's advice for a 28-day vegan diet. Check out the results. Thanks to VegSource.com for directing me to this video!

Wow, this is an amazing story. Thanks for sharing Kristen. I sure hope others become inspired and think about what they are eating. Rocco had shown that if you eat the proper foods you can heal your body. I can't help but just be happy for him : )

His glucose and hemoglobin A1C would undoubtedly improve if he cut out sugar. There is often A LOT of sugar used in vegan foods.

I didn't know that Dr. Oz was a proponent of the vegan diet. That's great news! He runs an organization called health corps., which is like the peace corps., but it is here in the US working in schools to educate children and community about healthy eating. I was considering applying, but I wasn't sure what his stance on health was (ie, I didn't want to work and teach for an organization that was funded by the dairy industry and recommended the standard US governmental dietary guidelines). How can I find out more about Dr. Oz and his philosophy?
