7 Free Awesome Raw Vegan Recipes - Must Make!

Here are a handful of my favorite blog recipes. Enjoy! (And, yes, I'm still in NY)

Tuscan Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto (click here, scroll down to Aug 23 post)
This stuff is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I love showing it off at parties. People are always asking for the recipe.

I get email after email from people telling me how much they love this simple soup. My husband's and my favorite way is to prepare it with the pumpkin pie spice. Yum!

I always make a double batch of this heavenly scrumptious pudding and it's devoured in a couple of days. I love it. My husband loves it. My step-dad loves it. My mom loves it. Need I say more?

Ummm.... I don't really have anything to say but... MAKE THESE!

My regular followers know I'm addicted to this sauce. I love dipping carrots and celery into it. I love dipping organic blue corn chips into it. I love dipping flax crackers into it. I love using it as a sauce on cooked or raw veggie burgers. I simply LOVE it! *Note: my favorite chili powder for this recipe is by Simply Organic

This recipe is EASY PEASY! It's extra delicious and is packed with uber healthy ingredients. Worried about garlic breath? No problem. Just make sure you serve some of this to people you're going to be around. ;)

Refreshing, delicious, healthy, and awesome. And... it's summer!

hi Kristen,
so nice to share your recipes! I LOVE the strawberry cobbler, I actually have been regularily making all three of the cobbler recipes from your desserts book recently as a perfect snack in the middle of the night after nursing my newborn ( i need something substantial and sweet yet healthy!). they are also fast and super easy for my sleep deprived brain! I am also addicted to your chia pudding. I tried making your harvest soup with pumpkin pie spice but it ended up quite bitter? I haven't tried it again yet. It is hard to get nice celery here. any tips?

Hi Sara,
It shouldn't be bitter at all. If you have bitter celery, then try swapping the celery out for some more zucchini. :)

Cheers,
Kristen

Yum to all of these! I remember the first time I visited your blog you had just posted that Summer Strawberry Cobbler recipe and I made it, my first raw pie ever, and I was like: "HOLY COWABUNGA! Why have I never had a raw dessert before?" You'd think more people would know about raw even just for the desserts... so amazing!! Glad you're still having fun in NY, drink some delicious green juice for me!

Kristen,

Thx for posting/reposting these luscious-sounding and looking recipes.

In the Holiday Chia Pudding recipe, you recommend coconut products from Wilderness Family Naturals. Which coconut oil product of theirs do you like: centrifuged virgin coconut oil, cold-pressed virgin coconut oil (on sale for 20% off till early July), or expeller pressed coconut oil?

Thx.

Kristen's Raw said...

Please note: There is no coconut oil in that recipe.

For other recipes though, both oils are fine. One has a stronger coconut smell/flavor which some people prefer and others don't.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog! It was awesome of you to comment :] I'd never seen your blog or site before, but now I'm adding you to my RSS feed! I'm fascinated by raw foods, and I'm extremely interested in incorporating more of them into my diet. You've inspired me to add a "raw" tag on my blog. As of now, it only has 3 entries marked (out of 80! Sad...) but I hope to raise that number soon and quickly!

Also, I just want to say that I love the story of your journey from bodybuilder to raw vegan. I used to be a personal trainer, and am now a marathon runner. It's amazing how a dedication to fitness can fine-tune your outlook on food. I went from eating whatever, to eating lower-cal and higher-plant food, to vegetarian, to now almost vegan. There's NO contradiction between fitness fanatic and vegan!

Kristen,
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEWS ABOUT THE COMING OF YOUR LITTLE BABY.
This Raw Food is all new to me, with the help of my sister, she is trying to get into it too. I am doing it for the pain I am having and have been having for many years with Arthritis and Fibromyalgia. I have a Excalibur dehydrator, Vita Mix, Saladoo just got here yesterday, and a food processor. I am taking the bull (so to speak) by the horns and going full speed ahead...with your help, I have all of your books except the new one about weight loss, but I will be getting it soon. Thank you for everything you do and have done for all of us, you are blessed.

Hi Kristen! Thanks so much for all of your great ideas and recipes! I do have one question as I journey on my qwest to preparing for a bodybuilding/figure competition: I have a bunch of food intolerances and feel the best when I stick to a diet thats as raw as possible but I need more protein for my training and less fats.......do you have any idea on which recipes would be the most helpful??

Thanks so much for your help!

Kristen's Raw said...

Hi Bridget,

How about loading up on raw protein shakes with Sun Warrior's Raw Sprouted Brown Rice Protein and Manitoba Harvest's Hemp Protein powder? Great way to get those numbers up. Plus, plenty of green juices!

Cheers,
Kristen

I also blogged about the dip!

Yum. I've been making lots of your hemp recipes, and the caramel shake is SO good. I'm so glad it doesn't have bananas as, somehow, I ran out of them. Thank you for your amazingness!
